This Keto Chinese BBQ Pork recipe tastes just like regular Char Siu Pork but doesnt have any extra sugars. Its marinated in a tasty mix of keto-friendly ingredients and then baked until its just right. The result is keto-friendly, tender pork slices that are full of flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pork shoulder, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons erythritol or preferred keto-friendly sweetener
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring optional, for color
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, erythritol, rice vinegar, five-spice powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, and red food coloring
Add the pork slices to the marinade and ensure they are evenly coated
Let it marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
Place the marinated pork slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly caramelized, flipping halfway through
