Ingredients:
- 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up
Put parchment paper around the edges of an 8x8-inch baking dish, leaving some overhang to make it easy to take off
Put the rolled oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and mix them together
Add the melted coconut oil and mix it in well
Fill the baking dish with two-thirds of the oat mixture
Spread it out evenly in the bottom to make the crust
To coat the apple slices, mix the maple syrup, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a different bowl
Put the apple mix on top of the crust in the baking dish
To make the crumble topping, sprinkle the rest of the oat mixture evenly over the apples
Put it in an oven that has already been heated up and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are soft
Before cutting the bars into squares, let them cool all the way in the baking dish
Serve and have fun
