Beckenham Backpage Massage

This recipe for bacon-crusted caramelized Brussels sprouts is a delicious blend of sweet and savory flavors. The crunchy bacon and soft Brussels sprouts are exquisitely complemented by the rich glaze made from brown sugar and balsamic vinegar. You can serve this as an excellent side dish for any meal, and people will be requesting seconds

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Add the chopped bacon to a large skillet that has been heated to medium-high heat

Cook for about 5 minutes, or until crispy

After taking the bacon out of the skillet, drain any excess grease by placing it on a paper towel

Add the Brussels sprouts and olive oil to the same skillet

Stirring occasionally, cook the Brussels sprouts in the bacon fat for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are soft and caramelized

Add the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar and stir

Cook the Brussels sprouts for a further two to three minutes so the sugar can coat them and caramelize

To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning

Return the crispy bacon to the skillet and combine all of the ingredients

Serve your hot, caramelized Brussels sprouts with bacon as a great appetizer or side dish
